Why can't I get 3dmark 2001 to load on winXP? I have a voodoo 5 5500, with the newest DX8 compatable drivers. During install it gives an error about not being able to find a d3d device or something. Will it just not work or am I doing something wrong?
 
lol.... anyways, it sounds like Win XP hasn't loaded up your V5 drivers properly, or lack of proper drivers is causing a problem. Can you play D3D games?
 
don't have the sites offhand, but you definitely wanna go look for tweaked drivers for a V5 in winXP, i think i'm using "Carey's" set or something, it lets you use 3dfx tools and the whole shebang... and yes i can run 3dmark2k1 as well...
