3dMark 2001 locking up

i just put a system together, the system will run 3dmark 2000 without any problems,,,,i can also play a game like far cry without any hicupps.......but whenever i try to run 3dmark 2001 it only runs till the flying dragon benchmark, it will run it for a few secs then it just locks up......i thought it was a heating issue, it only locks up with 3d2001 and not 3dm2000 nor the regular games.........any suggestions?........thank u

Win XP sp1 and using the latest nvidia drivers for xp 61.XX

 
For the GF3 I'd try the 44.03 Det's and be certain you have the patch for 2k1se installed.
