I just built a new computer.

Intel® Core i7-3770K Processor
Socket-LGA1155, Quad Core, 3.5Ghz, 8MB

Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 GHz 3GB GDDR5 "VAPOR-X GHz Edition"

ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE, Socket-1155

Kingston DDR3 HyperX 2400MHz 8GB KIT

The GPU is only oveclocked with the OC button
The CPU is clocked to 4.5Ghz

When I run 3DMark 11 free version, Basic Test?
I only get 9100 in 3DMark 11 score with the latest ATI drivers
Isnt this a little low, or is it normal?

Seems about right. 3dmark scores are nothing to brag about. It would be like me bragging about how fast my wife sweeps the floor, clearly not the reason I married her.

Haha, so true. Like buying a Corvette and then being worried because the navigation system is a tad bit sluggish.

It is slow.

My rig:
2600k old CPU at 4.3
16 gb at ddr1866-2133
7970 1175 1625

I get nearly 10k, more like 9800-9900.

So with 1125 1575 you should at lest get 9500- or so

With 1000 core you are about right though.
