3DMark '03 and '05 scores about right? Plus 6800 softmodding question...

Alright, here's my system...

Windows XP SP2
P4 2.4c @ 3.33 @ 277 FSB (runs at 3.4 but Windows not completely stable 🙁)
1 Gig PC2700 running in dual channel @ 368 mhz (Pretty good, 5.1k ALU and FPU on Sandra 🙂)
BFG 6800 OC @ 350/750

3DMark 2003 Score - 9,4XX (About 100 more than my A64 3000+@2200 MHZ system)
3DMark 2005 Score - 2,5XX (About 200 less than my A64 system 🙁)

Also question about softmodding. I did softmod this card and it seemed successful (16x1 6 vp). 3DMark 2003 ran fine with no artifacts and my score jumped to around 10,400 (not bad for a 6800 vanilla). But when I started Far Cry some wierd things started happening (no artifacts or graphical glitches of anykind though). When I started entering bushes or any kind of brush performance slowed to a crawl and I had to wait quite a few seconds till anything actually happened. This also happened when I zoomed with the weapon I was holding. When I disabled the extra vp and pipelines everything went back to normal. Anyone else experience this?

What nvidia drivers are you running? With the 66.71 drivers i got a 2400 with my xp 2700 and 6800 GT. Then i downloaded the 66.81s and it went up to 4500.

Never did 2k5 with the extra vp and pipelines enabled, all benches with 2k5 were done after the softmod but with the softmod disabled. Ack, really slag? I thought my 2k3 was pretty good but my 2k5 a little lacking for my system. I had an Athlon 64 3000 @ 2200 MHZ that is pretty much identical to this PC except for the ram was single channel PC3200 (and also the CPU and mobo were obviously different). It scored 9.3k in 2k3 and 2.7k in 2k5.

not that its probably got anything to do with it but i had a major problem with my nv40 stuttering and stuff in dx games, and thanks to a fellow forum members advice, i found out if i turn off fastwrites, it went away. give that a whirl!!!
also, just for refrence, the set up in my sig but without the processor overclocked and with a 128mb powercolor 9800Pro score 22xx 3dmarks in 05, and 58xx in '03. so id say your 05 score seems a little low.
good luck mate.
