Dang. Some impressive stuff, thats for sure. I doubt it'll perform at first significiantly better than GF4 and R8500, but it ought to be at least on par (although costing a lot of course), maybe being a tad faster, and that could make it to be a pretty big competitior for the Quadro4 and ATi's FireGL 8800. For you Matrox seekers, this was not likely "the thing" because at the end Anand says "As unexpected as 3DLabs' announcement was (we weren't anticipating it for another few weeks) it's just the first in a line of new technologies in the graphics sector. " That seems to be telling me that somethings coming, it could be NV30/R300, but I find them a little too far off.
