Hey Robo. Yeah I just read about that too. I'm not surprised, but I am a little disappointed. Man, things continue to look bad for 3DFX, but who knows? Maybe they are actually farther along on the "Ramapage" now. Even though my current list of video card upgrades does not include 3DFX this time around, I would like to see them make a big comeback. The industry would not be the same without them. A lot of people are predicting their end soon, but like I said, maybe they have a few tricks up their sleeve. :)

Robo:

Any word yet if nVidia is planning to buy out 3Dfx? I bet that's what is going to happen.

3dfx is "sympathetic to the disappointment this may cause to a small number of our loyal gaming consumers"

that is so funny, 3dfx basically admitting they knew the card wasnt going to sell in big numbers.......that is the real reason why they canned production themself.

Compellor, I sincerely doubt that will happen.

3dfx has a poison pill which would definitely make it rather unworthwhile for nvidia to buy them out.

3dfx may very well go under on their own (lack of) power

:-/
