About $15 for Digital 3D & $17 at Imax 3D.

Well I guess Avatar will be the only 3D movie I seen & Captain Eo when I was 4.

I try to go to the movies at matinee pricing anyways which is before 5PM.

Even then I usually only go when a movie looks big screen worthy anyways. Same with 3D. Those few that look 3D worthy. I wouldn't opt for the 2D version either if it's meant for 3D viewing.

Even 3D at home is ridiculous. You have to get a new TV, Blu-Ray player & $150 glasses plus 3D Blu-Rays of course.

Most 3D movies don't have enough story to warrant to 2D DVD viewing anyways....

However we vote with our wallets. So if they don't get there money they will drop the price.

I find ticket prices to be high enough and most of the time not worth it when you have assholes in the audience. However the only saving grace in the Matinee pricing before 5pm. $7.50 as it's $10.00 after 5pm.

The best deal in my area for movies in the Drive-In which offers two flicks for $7.75. Spring to Fall....

Even the theater downtown that shows Indie & older flicks charges $9.50. The only flick I seen there was Goonies, which I thought was worth it. Other wise they show movies I can rent on Netflix....Sorry to say....

We use to have some cheapie theaters but they died off.

Don't get me wrong. I love the theater experience. I just only go when it's a movie that looks worth the experience.

Just like when I buy DVDs it has to be a movie I know I'm gonna enjoy the extras & watch more than once.

I really love the special editions with cool casing & such. Like Evil Dead Book Of The Dead Edition & such. That stuff is cool & worth the price if your a fan.

The bare bone dvd they release for like $20 when you know a few Months later it gets re-released as the uncut super deluxe edition is annoying.

Okay going off topic.....My thoughts on movies......Better make it worth the price. They need to stop trying to rip off the consumer.

Some movies are worth seeing in Imax or 3D. Dark Knight was one (mmmm Imax), Avatar another, and possibly Pixar movies like Toy Story 3. That's it. It's pretty sad that a movie ticket can cost almost as much as a new release blu ray movie.

That sucks. They should at least let you keep your glasses.

I saw 'How to train your Dragon' today in 3d, it was actually pretty good even though I'm not a 3d fan. 3D beards!

The movie itself was also quite good though I didn't like the main character's voice...they should have gotten someone else with a more youthful voice.

Decided to review it here since there's no thread about the movie :p

You can keep your glasses. However they will still charge you regardless.

Yeah, that's what I mean. They should ask everyone up front if they need glasses and if they already have them they don't charge extra for the glasses. Kinda like bowling shoes :D

That would be nice. You can try it. I doubt it will work though?

I thought it would, my sister gave her real 3D glasses from seeing Avatar to her 14 year old that was going to see Avatar with some friends and she was still charged extra & given glasses.

I haven't tried it myself but did hold on to my Real 3D glasses from Avatar thinking it would work. The only other option would be to recycle them.

I can't utilize 3D glasses because of eye problems, so fuck them.

I hate when my friends go to see 3D movies and I have to either go and overpay for an experience that I'm not getting or stay home.

Around here, 3D movies don't cost any more than the normal ones... I pay between $9 and $15 regardless (depending on special seating or matinee vs normal pricing).
