3D scanner?

I ordered my first 3D print job a while ago. Being satisfied with the price and the performance, I am now left wondering if I cant scan something into a CAD file and then have it printed. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a reasonably priced 3D scanning solution.

You'd think if I just took enough pictures of an object, there would be some software out there that could take all those images and render them into a CAD file. (I'm willing to consider an ios or android app also.)

Anyway, the object I am trying to scan is pretty simple. Imagine a lego. It's about that size and has about that many features. I have a company quoting me $200 apiece for them. But if I could get ahold of the CAD file I could get 3D prints for $20 apiece.

I tried the autodesk 123D program. My god it is pure worthless trash. I uploaded 112 pictures of one simple little block and it gave me the ugliest most hideous creation you ever could imagine. I'm so disgusted I dont have the stomach to try the other ones.
