3D Prophet II Pro 64MB Display Problems

I have a Prophet II Pro, running on an Abit KT7-A Raid Mobo. You can check the rest in my profile... I have two problems. First, I get small horizontal flickers in my screen. They don't occur constantly, but rather frequently (every minute or so). I've tried 2 different detonators (6.5 and 6.31) and both have similar results. I know I read about problems with certain revisions of this Pro Board, but cant remember where.

Second, I cant seem to play DVD's. I installed the Power DVD software included with the card as well as WinDVD, and both do the same thing. Start spooling up the DVD, and then just stop. The odd thing is though, that I can play DVD's just fine with the Windows DVD player included in Win2k!! But the WIn2K player WON"T work if the WinDVD or PowerDVD software isn't installed!!! I also can't rip the .VOB files with DeCSS, so I'm wondering if I should try a new cable or something.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried setting your display refresh rate to "optimal"? Maybe your monitor can't handle the resolution you're at, or maybe your monitor is just going south. I have this card and haven't had any problems like that. As far as DVD goes, software decoding is kinda lame. Bite the bullet if you're serious and invest in a HollywoodMagic DVD decoder card (about 80 bucks). It takes a lot of strain off the system and your DVD's will play beautifully!
