3D Problems with Radeon VIVO

I recently upgraded my MB/Processor from an Asus A7V / T-bird 900 combo to an Asus A7M266 / 1.4Ghz. I kept my Radeon 64 VIVO and Hercules Game Theater XP. My old setup was rock solid but I am having terrible video problems with both D3D and OpenGL. All of my textures are ripping in my 3D games (UT, Q3A, Motocross Madness 2). Doesn't matter if it is a OpenGL or D3D game, they all flash and rip. Framerates are good but textures are terrible.

I have tried Radeon drivers 7184, 7189 and 7199 with the same results. I made sure that the VIA 4-In-1's and other Asus/VIA specific software was loaded. I turned V-Sync on and off with no change. I also tried using GLSETUP with no improvement. None of my hardware is overclocked.

I also tried a fresh install with Win2K Professional with the latest official Radeon drivers. Same thing. Went back to WinME.

I also am having problems with Aliens Vs Preditor 2. Once I start a single player game in ANY species, I lock up during the intro with a blank screen and have to reboot. This game also ran perfectly on the old system. I fails during the intro before we even get to any D3D.

Any suggestions?

ok just to be safe, you're using an AMD760/Via 686B based mobo right?

that means you have to install AMD's AGP driver, and I think the rest of the 4 in 1's (USB, IDE, and what's the other? Power Managment? I don't remember).

so do you have AMD's AGP driver installed?
