3D Max, Best Windows Version

i am installing 3D Max on a dual Opteron
system & am trying to figure out which version
of Windows to use.

i've been satisfied with Windows XP Home
for the 32 bit version of 3D Max.

* is the 64 bit version of Max stable with
Windows XP 64

some of the comments at Newegg - "not any
faster than regular XP" - but, maybe that person
wasn't running the 64 bit version of 3D Max.

I had no issue using 3D Max with 32bit of XP Pro.
