Just ran 3dmark 2001SE and 4970 are the marks. Is this good or normal for a Notebook ?
Radeon9000 32MB run @ 1024x768 32bit

thats what I get for asking I thought it was pretty good.
do you think it's the 9200 and 64megs that makes the diff.
Tweaked somethings and now I get 5290

That socre is pretty good for M9 32MB 🙂 The MR9200 is the same as MR9000 64MB with AGP 8x (which doesn't really help much). The main differences between the M9 32MB and MR9000 64MB or MR9200 is the memory bandwidth. I'm sure your laptop can play games just fine.

Oh yeah it's a T40 and it plays everything i thrown at it so far.
I am not a big gamer so it's cool.

Well, if it make you feel better, my T40 can be tweaked to get 3dm2k1 about 6000 at the max (forgot the GPU/mem setting). But I would not do it though. The stability might not be so good and not to mention the shorten of the GPU life due to excessive heat at high temp. And quite frankly, I don't see much difference between the M9 32MB and 64MB except the 3dm2k1 scores 🙂
