i believe the motherboard plays that role,

EPOX and ABIT can really do magic...!!

I have an ASUS though.... ;o(
can't get as far as those boards....

in response to the guy wit the 9500pro above

MIY RIG___

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (stock at 1670mhz)
512 PC2100 (possibly Unbranded)
MSI KT3 ULTRA 2
Connect 3D Radeon 9500pro (stock 275 core and 270 (x2 =540))
1 western digital 40GB 7200rpm
1 IBM 40GB 7200RPM

everything is running stock speeds and in 3d mark 2003 i scored 3596

this shocked me actually, because i read some reviews about the card before i bought it and i was seeing scores mostly in the 2000's and only a few scraping 3000. so im actually canny pleased :) considering its a card from a budget manufacturere who only supply the card design exaclty to reference and a few cables.

hope that helps

make sure u got FSAA and AF totally turned off

Onboard nforce1 video
xp2400+
512mb pc2100

I want to upgrade but I'm too confused which card to get right now. I can play BF1942, Warcraft3 and UT2003 fine though so I'm not worried.

Thanks for the reply. I was just was a little concerned when I put in a faster CPU and faster memory and only got a 233 point increase. From a 1700 to a 2500 qnd from 2100 to 2700.
