Do the GPU benchmarks in 3dmark06 utilize dual thread. Would your GPU score increase over single core if you had dual core.

No, the GPU specific feature tests wouldn't improve, although the blended tests will.

Yes it is thread specific. You get an even bigger boost in score with a quad core.
