I scored 4883 with my stock 3200+, 6800gt. Then when I up the video card from 350/ 1000 to 400/ 1100 I get a score of 3883. Didn't see any artifacts or anything unusual.

What gives?

I OCed my x800xt to 540/1150 and only got an increase of 200 points. But at least it went up.

Sorry to hear about yours...

There is something called "thermal throttling" that cards often do to protect their gpus from overheating when they get to a certain temp. Basically it downclocks the card on the fly to cool the chip. It used to happen in the 5900 series but im quite unaware if it happens within the newer cards. Possibly your card has this feature on it? Or it could be the obvious reason: that your settings changed between runs of the benchmark?
