Athlon 2500xp Mobile Barton (1.8ghz)
DFI NF2 Ultra Infinity
1024mb Samsung PC3200 DDR400
ATI 9800 Pro 128mb
Creative SB Live 5.1

2001 score was 17100 - didn't save the score
2003 score was 5900 - didn't save the score

same system but now I bump up to 11x 200 fsb for 2.2 ghz and enable Dual Channel Memory (moved to slot 3 from slot 2)

2001 score 17900 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7930411
2003 score 6300 - couldn't save the score

I couldn't post 2003 scores for some reason ... something wrong with the updater.

This is at default speeds? Hmm, is this the latest version of 3dmark 03? I ran once last night and got about 5800, except I have a 2600+ OCed to 2.5Ghz. I wonder why my score was so low... Do you guys use special settings for benchmarking purposes? Like set driver settings to optimize for speed?

Really? sweet! Yea everything is at stock except I changed the settings for my radeon to performance but thats about it. Perhaps it was my dual channel 3200 memory that did it. =)

Can you elaborate a bit? Do you mean the D3D setting? Finnkc, could you also give a little more detail regarding whether you changed any of the settings? I don't understand, both S4M33R and I have higher overclocks but lower 3dmark scores. =P Anybody have any input on this?

You changed your radeon driver settings to performance? Bad idea your probably loosing a lot of graphical quality and I think it might skew your benchmark. I'm not a 3dmark expert but try changing it back to balanced and running 3dmark again. I also have dual channel and that shouldn't be what is causing the gap between our systems. I would estimate a score of mid 5000's on your rig. Lemme know what happens. :)
