Basically i wonder why this (image link) error occurs and if there's something to be done about it.
I have an older system for visitors to use the internet on, play some older games or whatever,
it's an aopen ax6b motherboard, Intel P2 333mhz with a geforce2 mx (asus AGP-v7100). Worked like a charm.
But then i harvested a Intel P3 600mhz cpu (that uses 100mhz bus speed instead of 66 as the 333mhz previously had) and put that in and it seemed to work fine until i tried some games,
at first the 3D games seemed to be working, but after a while the screen blinks, kinda like when you change resolution, and things turn red like in the picture and other things becomes weird striped. (image link)
Some games crash if it "blinks" while running, but most just continue and look weird.
This happends in both win2k and win xp and whatever gfx card driver im using.
Im thinking that something is overheating, the gfx card is my guess since error only occurs while 3D is involved, i've moved around a couple of fans at diffrent places to no avail.
Everything else works fine even after it's "blinked", just 3D games thats the problem.
So if anyone knows anything about this i would appriciate it. If it really the gfx card and if there's something to be done about it or if it's something else.
Thanks in advance for any help.
