3D crashes

I just installed an Abit KT7 (non RAID) and the problem that I had with my old board (FIC AZ11)is still there. the problem is:
When I try to run a 3D game, it gets to the 3D portion and crashes with either a VxD error or just back to windows, if I get an error it locks the mouse up. The issue is not the Video card AIW Radeon, since it did the same with a 3DProphet. I tried this under ME and 98SE (currently running). I can not get the latest bios from the abit website(not found)

AMD 800 Athlon
256M Micron SDRAM
Abit KT7
sb live
ATI AIW Radeon
running 98SE (right now)

It's probably your SB Live! card. It could also be that ACPI is causing it (it did on my KT7). Go for here for help:

Also, read the forums over there. Many people have had this problem with the KT7 (including me!).
