3D capability with new Intel laptop processors

Most benchmarks that I have seen for the Sandy Bridge laptop processors have focused on newer games at reduced settings. I am curious about older games. I have the desktop at home for new games, but for a bit of say, Civ 4 when on the road, can the integrated graphics handle most/all graphics features with at the 1366 x 768 lcd resolution? I don't think Civ 4 was ever a heavy-weight in terms of 3D needs, and there are probably some older games that would probably similar in terms of hardware requirements. So...anybody know if Sandy Bridge would be okay?
