3d apps keep crashing when launched!

Need some help please...

after my comp has been on for a while(i.e. more than 30 mins.) it crashes whenever i launch a 3d application. After i restart though everything seems to work fine.. im assuming its a problem with my video card.. kyroii based hercules prophet 4500. I have the latest drivers from hercules.. anyone know wat's wrong? I heard kyros have problems with >256mb ram.. and i have 256, but my comp reads it at 261.. i dunnno.... anyone know wats wrong?? its really getting on my nerves having to restart before i can play cs..

Have u tried tweak xp? it's a handy program like tweak ui, but for xp. This will allow u to optimize win xp for 256mb ram, and cpu usage etc etc. This may help. And, winxp shows the amount of ram in kilobytes (if memory serves me correctly), so I should think it will show 262154, or something like that?
