3D 2001 scores extremely low -Help!

My scores are really low - 3957.

ABIT KR7A-Raid
Athlon XP 1800 @ 1594 Mhz
Radeon 64 DDR VIVO
768 Mb Crucial PC 2100
2- DX740 Maxtor 40 GB in Raid 0

What's up with my number? What am I missing?

3dMark2k1 is heavily weighted towards the latest and greatest video cards, ie. the Geforce 3s and 4Tis, and the Radeon 8500. Without onw of those, you can't get the really high scores.

Your score is totally normal, don't worry about it. I get 3657 with an Athlon XP 1700 and a Visiontek GTS-V. There are others out there who go out and tweak all their video and cpu settings (like disabling v-sync, overclock everything they can find, etc...) so they can post their 8000-10cajillion 3dMark scores and impress everyone. Anytime you see a "Post your 3DMARK Scores" thread it's one of those tweakers trying to show off
