I recently installed the 3com Wireless PC Card w/ Xjack and Windows XP detected it and prompted me to install drivers. After several reinstalls of the PC Card, I finally got Windows XP to install the 3com drivers from the CD.
But after the installation, it connected to the network (small icon) and then suddently disconnects and a small icon indicates "Wireless Network Connection 4 Unavailable". However I'm able to browse the net! I installed the 3com software utility and it seems to run fine. I still see the icon that says my wireless network connection 4 is unavailable on my taskbar. I think the number "4" is due to the reinstallation of my network cards.
Can anyone put to any solution or suggestion for this? Thanks a lot!
P.S. I also have the Sony Wireless PC Card and it plugs in and runs immediately with the status icon on the taskbar showing as "Wireless Connection Available".
