3Com USB NIC W2K drivers

I have a friend who was having severe problems with Win98 on his laptop. After trying to fix it for several hours, I finally got sick of W98's bullsh!t and decided to instal Win2K. So I did, it took forever, but it fixed the problems. However, I did not use much foresight, for my friend has a 3Com USB NIC. I checked 3Com's site and all they have are Win98 drivers. Is there a way to get it working in Win2K? I REALLY don't want to have to go through the painful process of reverting back to Win98 (if that's even possible).
Thanks,

The drivers they offer seem to be for Win98 only...when I try to use them it gives an error about having the wrong version.
