I just built a 1.2GHz Athlon-C system with a KK266 motherboard. I have a 3Com EtherlinkIII ISA 3C509-B network card that is recognized by windows 98, but it says that it is not working properly....I also have a win-modem installed in a PCI slot, and I've been told this may cause a problem with the IRQ assignment. Also, one time I booted, it worked, I didn't do anything, it was just random...next time, didn't work. I have the newest driver from 3com's site loaded. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

Time to play ISA/PCI slot swap ;)

BTW: ISA card can be more problematic. I would go out and buy a $20 Linksys 10/100 NIC!
