I just ordered this webcam from buy.com. It is listed at $108 - $20 coupon (techbargains.com) and that brings the total to around $85. Pretty cheap shippin on this since it is very lightweight. I have been shopping for a webcam for a while and have read a lot of reviews and this one is pretty much the tops. Very good in low light conditions, and has a 9'usb cable. Hope u like...😀

This is an EXCELLENT webcam. I've used it with WebCam32 for security surveilence, stop motion (recorded a plant grow from seedling to flowering over a period of 30 days), and very good macro shots.

I've seen a 3 lens pack from some camera outfitter online that includes: Fisheye, macro (probably more like microscope because the included lens can get fine enough to see between the ridges on my fingerprint) and telephoto or wideangle (can't remember).

One thing I did for fun was I had it record a frame every 5 seconds, playback at 15 frames/sec, while I was playing some CounterStrike....hehehe...wow...except for my eye's...I didn't move an inch for like 40 minutes!

I only wish the USB interface was faster...at 640x480x24bit color, I only manage about 2 frames/sec, plus it will blur a bit if you're moving too fast. At 320x480x24 it's a nice 10 frames a second with little tearing....excellent color.

My Two Pesos...

Here's my two cents:
-really great in low light conditions. I have almost no light (only light from monitor) and a pictures still shows up.
-very nice build, I tried the Intel Pro Pack cam and althrough it was pretty nice picturewise and softwarewise, the plastic cam was really easy to swipe to the floor. It was too light and cheap feeling. It moves around too easy. The Homeconnect was heavier and more stable.

I love mine got it for free after pointclick and rebate, best deal ever.

here's my 1 cent...

or you could just subtract 20 from 108 to end up with exactly $88, right?

I got mine for $11 shipping from the Digimarc deal a few months back. Never use the thing. It just sits on top of my monitor looking pretty. Adds another toy to my collection, and another wire to my mess.

When I have used it, the pictures have been pretty decent. Low light, as others mentioned, is very good. Too good. The mess behind me in my room shows ;(
