I posted this in a word of warning to others...
39dba is alot louder then you would think, i couldnt imagine more!
i have read every 3dba less volume is lowered by 50%
 
It isn't 39dba, ThermalTake is notorious for not listing the correct specs of their fans. The fan on the CU+ is the same as on my DragonOrb3, and I can easily udnerstand that it's irritating you. It's a 7000rpm fan that is a copy of the Delta Screamer, and it's noise-level is about the same 46db!
In Anands september hsf-roundup the fan on the DragonOrb, which is the same as I mentioned before, was the most noisy, it made more noise than the 7k Delta Screamer.
