38th Place NOW Distributed Folding Anandtech Team

Wow this team is really starting to come alive. I've now got DF running on 3 systems and as soon as I get time I could have it running on up to 4 more.

Hey guys,
Is there a site we can go to for a better listing of the teams/rankings kinda like what Seti has?

Cool, thanks for the url CADkindaGUY. 🙂

Now for the next question. What does this program rely on? IE: Seti runs best with high FSB. What is the combo that DF runs best on? Thanks.

That's a good question, especially when you use the software with the "twice as fast switch". I've seen the memory usage hit 100 MB while running DF, so you would think the memory performace plays a big role.

dexvx that switch in the program if you have 256 megs of memory doubles your performance.

look in the readmefirst file

My XP 1800+ pumps out about 130,000 structures a day give or take 10,000 (according to dfGUI). I'm using the Extra Ram switch. Is that a normal speed?

Shoot I must have something wrong because I have an XP 1800+@1585, P3 933@1000, and P3 500 laptop all running DF and I'm not getting 130,000 structures combined between them all. I do see my total starting to rise though and I did find a problem with the laptop eariler today and the XP last night so I'll wait a bit and see if it picks up.

Yep stupid 1800+ stopped processing for some reason. I'll be down to just the laptop for the next 24 hours as I clean out my SETI caches but then it's fullspeed ahead.
