OK - tonight I put in my Tbird 700 (actually it's supposed to overclock to 900 but I want to just get it working now - OC later) and my Leadek Winfast Geforce DDR that I have been using for 3 months. It's a Slot A Tbird on K7 Pro motherboard, runs 32 degrees idle. Anyways, I start playing Counterstrike and realize that my FPS are worse now than they were on a Celeron 525. So I decide to 3D Mark it and I get a pitiful 3880 - about average for my video card but on par with a 550 MHz P3! WTF is up with that?
Now I am locked in at AGP 1x. I am aware of the Geforce/AGP2x conflict and am trying to figure out how to fix it since I know there is a solution somewhere. I installed the latest AGP miniport driver from MSI's site. But I don't think AGP 1x/2x can make THIS much of a performance difference - can anyone help? Can anyone tell me how to increase my 3d marks and get the agp 1x/2x conflict resolved? Please?
