started getting errors again...ran memtest finally...one of the ballistix was unstable...grrrr...fortunately I have an extra 1x1gb stick of kingston ddr2 800 5-5-5-12 that I can pair as a stopgap until the new memory comes in. guess it wasn't the mobo after all 😱
