3870 crossfire still relevant?

So I'm sitting on a single 3870 and with the 4850 priced so close it's making me think twice about ordering another card. Does it still make sense when you can get close to the same performance for $50 more with a single card?

Side note: Are there any reviews out there that look at crossfire 3870 and both 4800 cards?

3870 Crossfire is almost as equal as a 3870X2
