3850 512MB worth it?

I was looking at buying a new video card after selling my 8800GTS 320mb. I really don't feel like spending ~$260+ on an 8800GT since I haven't even pushed my GTS to the edge yet. For $199, I found either an ASUS or GIGABYTE 3950 512MB with aftermarket zalman type coolers (comes with COH:eek:F or NWN2 as well!). Is the difference in cards really worth the $60+ difference (I am on 1280x1024 at the moment, but want to upgrade to a 22" in the next couple months). I don't really go out and buy too many PC games and the last game I bought was COD4 which runs great now.

Also, how would the 2900Pro 512MB 512Bit for $169 compare. I was looking at the 3870 as well, but the price is up to $250 so no point getting that over the 8800GT 512MB.

I'm not even sure the 3850 is faster than an 8800GTS.
I'll check some reviews to refresh my memory.

Ah, looks like it may be a downgrade.

Firing squad review

AT's review doesn't directly compare an 8800GTS with a 3850. Neither does HardOCP or Xbit.
I'm sure there are other sites that do. I just remember FS review as of right now.
