3850 256mb vs 512mb

1. Don't buy from gouge egg, they suck now... NCIXUS.com has the best prices at the moment. but still, shop around.
2. Don't buy a 2900 card... there is absolutely no reason to.
Buy a 3850, 3870, or a G92 based nvidia card. Nothing else is worth it. They are either slightly cheaper but with less then half the power. Or much more expensive while insignificantly faster.

Ended up getting my Visiontek HD3850 256mb version for 107 bucks with tax, overclocked it to 750/1050 with stock cooling and silent fan speed, and crank out 1680x1050 all day with 11,000 on 3dmark06. The card is nice!

$107 where? Edit: I see that you said PM'ing and returning a few times, but to get down to $107? Could you explain? ;)

What are the rest of your system specs. if you don't mind my asking?
