Lower Prices for the GTX 770 & 780's?
I'm in the market for a 3 to 4 GB VRam Video Card to power a 2560x1440 QX2710 PLS Display. Preferably with a 384 Bus.
At present, for the price, the Gigabyte HD 7970 3GB looks good but I from reports the 7970 tends to run rather Hot, Noisy and Driver support is dubious, especially in Cross Fire, if I elect to go that route in the future.
Then there's the question on whether OpenCL will beat out Physics X in gaming.
Should hold off purchasing with the chance that nVidia will lower prices of their GTX 770 4GB & 780 3GB cards once AMD releases their new offering this fall or possibly purchase the new AMD Card at that time?
I would think between $400 to $600 for a descent 384/4GB Card should not be that far off.
