Am i just unlucky?? Will boot up at 240 fsb but not stable.

Here are my specs.....

3800+ x2
Epox EP-9NPAJ SLi
530 Enermax PSU Sli
G.SKILL Extreme Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 500 (PC 4000)
Big Typhoon CPU Cooler
Silverstone TJ06
74gig Raptor
Sony DVD Burner
7800GTX Leadtek Extreme

I had the memory 1:1 Memory should handle 250fsb no problem.
The ltd at 4
CPU multiplier at 10

Could the CPU just be maxed at 2350? I was hoping to get 2400 at least like everyone else.

Yes...im a noob.

could be but what are your volts?

and drop the ram down anyway just to make sure its not the problem. could just be your ram and cpu memory controller aren't playing nice.

ill already dropped the ram down and still cant push farther than 237 stable. Only thing i havent done was mess with voltage.

Ill check the volts when i get home later today and report them. Im just kinda bummed that my cpu wont hit 250 to make better use of the ram.

you'll be ok if you're still on stock volts. bump up the vcore some and see where it goes.

What is your RAM volts ? Might need to set to 2.8 ..

Have you been able to test both sticks in another system , or drop your CPU multiplier to 8 - 9 , just to make sure the RAM will run at 250 ?

You didn;t even mention increasing cpu vcore. Probably required.

I got mine from monarch.
I dont know if you want to get it from them tho,
it took a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY long time for them to ship but they made up for it by giving me next day dilvery.

We don't have Toledo's anymore unfortunately. Our last big batch was all Manchesters.

However, we are running a nice price on them, and we do ship quick :)

You know what though, I'm not convinced the Toledos are better for OCing across the board. I think it has more to do with your "luck of the draw" than what core it is. I've seen Manchesters hit 2.8 and Toledo's top at 2.4. So I am unsure if there is a real advantage to going with either one.

Right on!!! That was unproven from the beginning and I still have not seen any conclusive evidence to rightfully suggest it....

I don't get the whole Toledos OC better than Manchesters thing.

It simply isn't true, from what i've seen.

IIRC, the WR OC for an X2 3800+ is still a Manchester.

Either core will OC well, no need to try to get one or the other!

try using a x9 multiplier and go 5:6 with ram. My room mate is pushing 290x9 on a slight voltage increase. Im on 311x9 incase ur wondering.
