I have a 3800+ X2 with the manchester core and an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe. I'd like to get to 2.4Ghz which is from what I see, pretty easy to reach. What settings do I use if I want to keep my RAM running at DDR400?

I have my 3800+ X2 @ 2.4ghz and ram at 200mhz(ddr400).

HTT is set to 240,
HT is set to 4,
Cpu Multiplier is 10x, and the memory is set at 166mhz (which actually sets it at a 1:12? ratio, so it ends up 200mhz)

My motherboard is different, but the settings should have similar names on yours.

I just got the a8n sli and have a opteron 165, I'm just wondering if you had to flash to the latest bios to get it to boot? Mine won't boot at all right now

Looking at the manual, it seems your ram ratios are listed as ddr. If so, in the advanced tab of the bios, go to dram configuration, and set "max memclock" to [DDR333].

It's on the CPU configuration page, under DDR settings, and its called "max mem clock" above all the ram timings

Alright, I set everything up right but it doesn't look like I'll be able to do 2.4Ghz. I got it right now set to 2.3Ghz with I'm priming it right now. How would I get my RAM to run at DDR400? It's at 191.7 right now.

HTT:230
HT:4
CPU: 10x
Memory: 166

UPDATE: 2.3Ghz @ 1.45vc didn't pass prime on the second core. Priming right now at 2.2Ghz @ stock vc and crossing my fingers, hopefully it'll pass.

HTT: 220
HT: 4
CPU: 10x
Memory:166

I had to flash to the lastest (10/13/05) in order for it to be recognized correctly. Flashing nowadays is easy as cake. Asus's windows based flash utility is soo easy to use. I never have to boot with a floppy.
