37yr old actress told she's too old to play love interest of 55yr old man (PIC)

What a dumb 'news' story.... it's really a complete non-story. She looks like she's 50 and not very attractive. The director was casting for someone who needed to look younger and be more attractive. This is a problem... how?

How is this news? I'm sure she would get turned down of the role of "house slave number 3" as well. And this time for being too white! The fucking role wasn't likely written for a 37 year old. So, she was too fucking old.

Most "movies" I watch, the fucking roles are reserved for 18 to 21 year olds....just saying...


In all seriousness, I just find Maggie Gyllenhaal barely above average, and she hasn't aged well. In Hollywood, it's all about glitz and she ain't got it. If she aged like Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek, or Halle Berry, that's a whole other story.

Just remembered, Amy Adams is 41 this year and she's been getting tons of roles in the past few years. Same for Jessica Chastain who is 38 this year. They chose Catriona Balfe, a 36 year old (this year), to play a 27 year old in Outlander.

Not to say there isn't age discrimination, it just probably wasn't all about the age in this case.
