yeah Rally...LOL, I guess so...I just don't know whether or not to believe the readings (given that they're so much lower than the case ambient now)! It seems a little implausible that the readings would go down 8c after the first reboot (after the BIOS update), and then another 20c after the second reboot. For all I know, I could be cooking the CPU in hot, thermal grease right now.

I'm going to hold off with buying new fans and wait to see if I can believe these temperatures or not. As the summer months close in, the ambient house temperatures will gradually increase as well, so I'll see how that affects things.

Cheers.

If it's below ambient, then that's a definate mis reading. Unless the ambient reading is also misread, but even so, 24 degrees is CHILLY lol.

Touch near the base of the heatsink, if it's even slightly warm, then 24 is probably wrong. As for what could cause that, I don't know...

Have you checked the airflow direction of your case fans? You could have Fans pulling air 2 different directions. Make sure that your airflow is set to flow through the case with a consistent direction.

I have bought a case before that had one fan installed backwards resulting in VERY POOR airflow.
