welp, i currently have whats in my signature. im not too happy about the idea of upgrading to a 939 setup, id rather max out what i currently have.

would going with a 3700+ 754 benefit me at all?
also, isnt the 4000+ 754 coming out in a month or two?

I don't think there will be a 4000+ coming for socket 754m it's pretty much a dead platform. Since you are already running at 2.3ghz, and the 3700+ is 2.4ghz, running at stock you wouldn't get a huge improvement, not sure how well it would OC. You can probalby squeeze some more out of your 3000+ with a little vcore and maybe a better HSF if it gets too hot.

your probly right. i havent even really tried upping the vcore at all. its still at default. i may play around with it a bit this weekend and see what it can really do. i may just get a small water cooling setup going, i really dont want to upgrade to a 939 setup, just got the 6800gs. :)

don?t waste any money on that old platform, especially if you looking to get water, its just not worth it. Just up the vcore to 1.6v-1.65v and see how far you can stably go. Save some cash and get a worthwhile s939 AGP NF3 platform down the road, ebay is your friend ;)
