Just keep in mind this is a monitor only, it has no tuners built into it. But if you already have or plan on getting a cable box or use satellite, no worries there.

Thats not what most people buy this for A tuner only adds to potential problems with it as a display monitor, with input lag, first and foremost. Thats why most people got the W3 over the W1 and W2 models.

I have this and use it as an actual television out in my living room. If you have a small living room or live in an apartment, it is a perfect TV assuming you have cable or an ATSC tuner. I have a TivoHD which has its own digital tuner. The colors are good on it, the contrast ratio is bad. There are some settings that really help to improve the contrast ratio over the factory defaults, I would say this is a good price for a great entry level monitor. About to pair this with the Sony webpage credit card deal, finally get to see some bluray on this sucker!

great monitor, i have one myself.
If everything is fine, this is a nice deal.
If you run into any issues, dont count on woot. It is such a chore to return a defective item!
