Has anyone else had trouble running the Xbox 360 wireless controller off a USB 3.0 port? I have no issues whatsoever if I swap over to a standard 2.0 port. If I use either of my back two 3.0 ports on my asrock extreme 3 gen 3 motherboard I get random disconnects and hear the windows sound that something has been unplugged, wait about 3 seconds and it comes back on. Its a real pain in the ass to be in the middle of a race in need for speed and the controller turns off. I noticed also that since I have my logitech G15 keyboard plugged into the USB 3.0 port, when I shut down the computer the LCD screen stays on and the keys remain lit. It doesnt display anything, just the orange background. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds to me like a defective USB 3.0 controller or cable (or hub chip).

Any idea as to what controller your mobo has? My controllers charge (and sync with the receiver) flawlessly using the play and charge cable connected to a USB 3.0 port, powered by the NEC/Renesas chip that seemed to be the chip everyone used a few years ago.

Had to download drivers for my mobo to get the USB 3.0 slots working, check to see if there are any updates on your end.

Have my xbox360 wireless dongle plugged into a 3.0 right now and it's working fine.
