That's a very nice price. Seems like my Xbox ownership is getting closer and closer with each little price drop... if only I could find one for $99.... 🙂

silver is free. You can demos, marketplace stuff, game updates. I've gotten roster updates for with silver. Occasionally someone will sponsor a free weekend where you'll be able to play online with others.
 
I bought one of these from Geeks about 3 months ago...looks brand new and haven't had any problems.
Some people are so twitchy about refurbs...oh well, their loss!

I dont have a problem, hell 99% of what I have in my house is a refurb or used 🙂

Maybe they fixed whatever the failure cause is when the refirbed it. like they put an extra dab of grease on the fan bearings or something?

i barely used mine for a year because of work. and when i finally had time to play it 13 months later, it died after a week of moderate playing just out of warranty.

i think this is actually $299 now which is a good deal, but yeah i'm pretty wary of the 360 completely at this point. maybe when the 65nm ones come out.
 
I'd stay far away from these. Bought one of these a month ago same company. Locked up after 15minutes. Sent it back 15% restock fee and 3 weeks before they refunded my card.
