360 on a CRT monitor

Anybody have a 360 yet? I would like to know how it looks on a regular 17" CRT in 1280x720. What would the refresh rate be?

I have a Hitachi CM721F its 19" and damn, with the VGA cables, this thing looks amazing! not sure about the refresh rate, that isnt an option, just resolution and widescreen/normal

I got my Xbox360 yesterday but havent been able to locate the VGA cable just yet, I'll post pics soon as I do.

there is no vga cable yet.... there is a schamtic on xbox-scene.com on how to make one though.

dont worry since the 360 is Native HDTV there will be plenty of people coming out with VGA or DVI connectors.
frankly i think its god damn retarded of them to not have ATLEAST a VGA output on the 3600 really friggin stupid..

If you use the monitors controls to squish the image down to 16:9 then it will be perfect. Just get a ruler or tape measure and measure your viewable horizontal image area then multiply it by 0.5625 to get n and squish the screen using the controls so that the screen is n inches tall (you'll have black bars on the top and bottom). Then you will have square pixels in 720p on your 4:3 monitor .
