Why do people risk damaging their hardware or risk getting their system banned from X-Box live just so they can run back-up games on their console? Of course these type of people would not have to pay for their games but other than money is there any other factor that plays in this type of work for running back-ups on your 360?

I mean you can get almost every game you want through gamefly for $15.00 bucks a month for one game out as long as you want is not very bad ethier...

Any thoughts?

Its a addiction for some ppl and some just can't afford the cost of games whether it be $60 or $15(after buying the $399+ system). Modders like the idea of having games for pennies(or a dollar or two). Alot of these ppl probably don't bother with Live.

some people don't like scratching their discs to the point where they need to purchase a new copy of the game/movie.

The hard drive is usually read faster than the optical drive. Load times decrease pretty noticeably with the hard drive.

I do not play consoles but I do play pc games and the first thing I do when I get a new game is rip an iso. Reason?,,I hate to lose a 50 dollar game to scratches and damage that will happen from normal use, also iso images install faster and load faster as well.

I am careless, I know that's not MS's fault or anyones but my own. About once a year I make a resolution to organize my discs, I'll go out and buy a Caselogic to put them in, I'll start to sort them. I try for about a week. But then disc's are everywhere on my floor again. on my PC I can alcohol 52% a game i buy and not worry about the disc. I don't condone piracy but it's not always about piracy why people do things like this.
