Between 30-40 meeellion paid for a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC - one of only three built (and only two that still exist).

Neither was the 250 TR that previously held the record but I don't see people up in arms about that.

I agree, sort of a silly car but hey, collectors tend to be a bit silly about their cars in the first place.

Car won a Concours D'Elegance. Pretty safe to say it's in even better shape than it was new.
