So I'm just starting to burn this in. I noticed however that when I set the multiplier in the BIOS to 34, it shows up as x36 in CPU-Z. Maybe I'm missing something, but is that normal?

Do you have the latest version of CPU-Z? It often gives dodgy readings on new CPUs even if you are a couple of builds old.

Looking more closely at the BIOS...on the "Current Status" Page, it says Non-Turbo Frequency: 3.404 MHz. Turbo Frequency: 3.804 MHz.

So CPU-Z must be reporting an average between the two. And Windows is reporting the higher of the two.

Huh?

For the record - this is all a bit new to me, particularly how turbo works. Came from a Core2.

I think 3.6 is the maximum, 4 core turbo so this is what CPU-Z is seeing. As for windows... ignore that it just tells you the max single core turbo frequency avaliable whether it has actually hit that number or not.
