.357 6"

So, how do I go about buying a gun inexpensively? I don't want to buy one at a retail store, and am fine buying a used one if it works good. Looking to get a 6" .357 magnum revolver for target shooting and deer hunting.

Any suggestions?

Gun shows, craiglist, classified, etc. There's not going to be a big discount. And why would you not want it registered to you?

If you have some bad areas of town just go to a corner and ask where you can get one.

when did I ever say anything about not wanting it registered? I just want a good deal

Through GunBroker, you will need to ship to a local gun store. Most gun stores charge a ~$25 receiving fee.
I recommend a gun show from a private dealer, so there is no paper work and you get a better deal.

Didn't know that.

The SW 460 and 500 XLR are hunting revolvers. The 460 will take down any animal in the US and the 500 can take anything in world. You can get a scope and tripod stand for it.

How bad is the recoil on something like that?

HA she controls it better than some of those other videos on youtube of people shooting it.

If you want 357 6", you'll have to line up about 500-700 guys with a ruler. Since 6" is the average length, I think it will be easy to....

err...

sorry, didn't see the . in front of 357 🙁

5.5" is average. I'm about 7" though. We're talking limp right?

Can't wait to shoot it!

Cool, I love the GP100
If I was going to hunt deer with a handgun, 44.mag would be the minimum I would carry.

If you're going to use one of these revolvers, for the love of your thumbs, DO NOT USE a thumbs forward grip.
Ran across a post of a guy that had his left thumb removed at the knuckle by the blast that comes from the cylinder when he shot a .460XVR.
