I posted this earlier but need more opinions...

- - - Hey, I am a bit new to this forum and AnandTech.com but from what I have seen many people in this community are helpful. So, with that in mind I ask a question concerning my PSU on my full sized Centurion 5 tower. Is my Cooler Master 350w PSU enough to handle a geforce fx6800?

My system specs:
ASUStek P8P800S w/ Pentium 4 2.8Ghz w/ Hyper-Threading technology (800FSB)
512MB of Geil PC3200 (DDR400Mhz)
80 gig MAXTOR 7200 RPM HDD
1 CDRW drive
1 floppy drive
4 80mm LED fans
One 120mm fan
1 blue cathode light
Cooler Master 350w PSU can be found here:
http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=17-171-002&depa=0

I was browsing and I found a good deal for the 6800 which was up for like 250 bucks. For my PSU, the specs are +3.3v = 18A, +5v = 25A, +12v = 16A. If I cannot handle the 6800 would I be able to use
the fx5900xt? That is my fallback vid card in case my current PSU cannot handle the 6800. I am hoping to get the 6800 non GT/ULTRA because I want to be able to play games like Rome Total War, Doom 3, HL2, and Battlefield Vietnam without blowing up my wallet.

anyways, thanks to anyone who helps.

I think it might be pushing the psu a little too far as well. I wouldn't revert to a fx5900 though. At the very least get a 9800 pro or wait for a 6600 gt. 6600 gt's perform better than the fx5900s and the 9800 pros and will not push the psu as hard as a 6800 would.

That should be fine. I don't hear very many opinions cooler master PSUs, but CM usually makes solid products.

That being said, the 6800 would have a better chance of working in your system than a 5900XT. That's because the FX 59XX line sucks down a lot more power than a vanilla 6800.
