would a 350w PSU be powerful enough to keep a xp2100 stable ?
or would i need a 400w (considering 400's are almost double the price) ?

get a good quality one (enermax, antec, sparkle) and u should be set. also depends on how many drives u plan on running.

It seems that power supply requirements are blown way out of proportion. I'd say its very likely it will work.

350W will keep you hummin just fine. (good ones last, cheapos don't....... )

get a good quality one (enermax, antec, sparkle)

These look good, ....I would order them Enermax, Sparkle, Antec

i'll be running GeForce4 ti4400, WD 80Gb SE and CDROM/BURNER :D

The cheapest good quality brand name PS is Compucase/HEC 350W dual fans.
I recommand this one if you're on budget.

SPI and Enermax are the only other 2 I'd recommand, but they'd cost you much more.

Antec is just a good marketing company like Viewsonic, everything is not made by them, all are outsourced to other real manufacturers.
In this world, there are only few real PS manufacturers. Most brands you see in the market are just re-badged, same as computer case.
