3500 Venice or 3700 San Diego

Is it worth the extra hundred dollars for the 1MB cache and is there a noticeable change in speed between the two. Im having a hard time picking between the two. I will only be web surfing, listening to music and plenty of gaming. Should the 1MB cache improve in that or should I just stick with the 3500.

you should stick with the 3500 and put the extra money toward a better video card, since that will make a far bigger difference for gaming.

Get the Venice and put the extra cash towards a better video card\case\PSU\hard drive.

Did u by any chance post this question on another forum? ... Iff so, what a small world it is...

Iff money is no object, get the san diego...but the 3500 venice will do you justice as well...

Iff everything is kept running on stock, i would think the extra hundred isnt worth the (0.2?) ghz .... Iff you are going to overclock, which u probably will, the san diego is the better choice...

San Diego OCs like a beast, Venice also OCs nicely. Get San Diego if you have the extra cash but a 3500+/X850XT > 3700+/X800XL or 6800GT

In my opinion there isn't much noteworthy about a 3500 or a 3200 Venice. Get a 3200 or the next noticable upgrade is a 3700 San Diego. This of course assumes you OC.
