I bought a Sapphire 9800pro from NewEgg several months ago. It ran great at 422/370 with stock cooling (Hynix memory), so I always just assumed it was probably a R360 core. Then DOOM3 came along and I started getting some artifacting, so I ordered a VGA Silencer Rev3.

Well, the VGA Silencer arrived and I removed the stock HSF for the first time. Low and behold, I discovered I have a R350 core after all. :( But with the VGA Silencer installed (and some Arctic Silver), I can now run DOOM3 at 418/381 with no artifacting, so I have no complaints. :)

I guess my point is that the R350 isn't necessarily a bad part at all. I know some R360s can go higher, but a stable 10.5% overclock on a sub-$200 card is nothing to sneeze at either.
